I made this expansion many years ago (as stalker1979, my very old username) and have extensive knowledge about the game's code and modding)
I was pretty suprised when the steam took my idea and made people pay for it... >:-( with my packhorse bug present in the Steam version as well (no packhorse at the market).
The bug appears in the french campaign (Serving the cardinal), mission 2 (Secret Mission). In my expansion there is no packhorse when there should be one by the market. That is because the packhorse file was changed between EW and BTW and I forgot to fix that. It's a pretty dodgy one, since you can complete the actual mission fine even without the packhorse.
This means that they either used my files as a base, or made the thing from scratch and were as sloppy as I was back then (I was still in high school when I made the addon).
What bothers me is that people are paying for something that was made free long before steam even heard of cossacks.
PS: I fixed that and re-released the expansion again for everyone to enjoy it as bug-free as possible, with my new campaign for BTW
I checked the files with Total Commander and the differences are that all the .ilk files from the subfolders of the Ukraine folder and the file called 'patch02.gs1' are missing from the Steam DLC.
I know that the .ilk files are generated by the C++ compiler and contain debug info, however they are not necessary for the game itself. GSC guys must have accidentally left them in the folders and that's how they got into my addon. It makes sense that someone at Steam probably knows C++ well and has realized that they are not needed and that's fine.
There is a text file in the Mission folder of the Steam DLC called 'mis_vic.txt'. This file doesn't exist in my expansion. It seems it contains some strings (for example RESW*Wood).
