Avec 40T de recule :O

Bon la précision ne serait pas très important vue la taille du splash et le temps de reload laissera le temps de prendre sont petit goûter ou un verre de coca pépère.

Avec 150 mm de blindage partout en frontal et un armement secondaire comprenant un lance-grenades de 100mm (plutôt anti-personnel par-contre), t'inquiète qu'il savait ce défendre pendant le reload.

La poussé des réacteurs est bien exprimé en tonne, alors ça me semble utilisable, même si il s'agit peut être d'un abus de langage je te le concède.

Pour des réacteurs, c'est un abus de langage mais ça va, vu que c'est une puissance, on peut s'y retrouver. Là c'est une énergie à dissiper.

- even though Mr. Hilary Doyle states that the lower mobility of the German vehicles is a myth, the devs state that he's only one of the experts and that their lower mobility is noted in various other sources, according to Wargaming their own expert (Jurij Pasholok) was one of those people who actually livetested a Panther in Kubinka, so he has first hand experience (SerB states that it's not possible the Kubinka Panther was broken or something like that)
- Doyle notes that the name of the engine intended for the VK3002DB is MB507 - in the game, however, the Maus engine has the same designation. This is not going to be changed (devs don't state why)
- KV-1, T-34 and Panther turret rotating speeds won't be changed (they don't match Doyle's date)
- Doyle states that the weight of the Schmalturm is actually less than the weight of the "regular" Panther turret. According to the devs, this is not true, as the geometric calculations suggest otherwise
- when balancing the artillery, taking only winrate into account isn't enough, as it is balanced separately (SS: no point then in asking "what winrate will be low enough to stop arty nerfs")
- devs state that the IS-7 gun has such a long time, because it is long and heavy
- the reasons GW Tiger and GW E had their mobility reduced lies in balancing, the devs don't think they overdid the mobility nerf too much
- devs won't disclose any info regarding to the technical aspects of the game programming (the way the game calculates actual movement etc.)
- there will be a second french tier 10 heavy tank, it's supposed to have very thick frontal armor (both hull and turret), but the sides and rear armor will be weak, the second French heavy branch won't have autoloaders (confirmed), not decided where it will start though
- shots to external modules (that don't generally count in the post-battle debriefing) do count when calulating the "sentinel" medal
- there will be a feature showing the quality of the player directly in game (SS: player mentions some sort of official XVM, but that is unlikely, more like some sort of special skins and decals for high winrate players)
- approximately 20 percent of players removed the "assault mode" from their games via the settings
- Chinese inscriptions on tanks meaning: "use google" (SS: much simplier - hover the mouse over the respective decals and a popup text with their meaning will show)
- so far, no other than "historical" insciptions on tanks are planned
- Clanwars mercenaries in their current form were cancelled, because they'd only be made of clan players who want to gear up
- there will be an option of playing CW's without joining any clan though, the devs are working on it
- devs don't think that the Chinese IS is overpowered even though it has 300mm gold pen shells, because its mobility is worse than its Soviet counterpart
- the only Soviet tanks with autoloaders are the T-64, T-72 and T-80, they won't appear in the game
- devs don't consider the Marder II overnerfed
- there will be no penalties for arty players, who favour shooting enemy tank destroyers (SS: meant as "tank destroyers who camp the base and don't pose any danger, while enemy meds and heavies pose a much higher threat")
- SS: one player posted 9 whine/bullshit questions in a row, got 9x14days (126 days) of RO ban... holy shit
- regarding the turrets flying off: the devs are not sure yet how they will do it, if the turret wreck will be a material object and others will be able to see it and crash into it, it's not done with Havok anymore, it requires server resources. The devs prefer the ripped-off turret to be material, but aren't sure if that's gonna work
- effect of tracks flying off is purely cosmetic, so that can be done client-side
- the winrate differences between servers are only very small
- after 0.8.3, average damage done by arties is expected to drop by cca 15 percent, mostly because of the close range fighting
- the "alive" tank (who shows as live, but counts as destroyed because the crew is dead) is not considered a bug, won't be "fixed"
- according to SerB, it's pointless to file reports against an arty that shoots an enemy tank that is hugging your tank, kills it but damages you in the process - "part of the fight"
- according to SerB, the arty mobility nerfs won't affect good artillery players, because a good artillery player doesn't troll around in TD mode, quite the opposite
- there is apparently a plan to merge the Clanwars into one huge superserver where US, EU and RU clans will be fighting each other, the devs don't consider it a problem there might be a national rivalry (anti-russian insults etc), but - they won't implement this into random battles, where it would be a problem (or they will but in limited fashion)
- the new perks might be in 2013, not sure how many. Radioman skills and perks won't be reworked ("if you don't like them, don't train them")
- the camo check interval (rumored to be 5 seconds) will shorten - depends on the server resources
- there are plans to change the shell system (new types etc.) - no more details
- there are studies being conducted on the AT-15A prototype (this might make Listy happy) regarding its characteristics
- according to the devs, E50M is not completely fictional, it's fully within the spirit of the late war German designs, there is no suitable tank of its tier to replace it, the design was consulted with experts (Doyle, Jentz), it wasn't even possible to push the medium German branch up one tier (the German vehicles simply weren't that good). The vehicle isn't completely fictional, as it represents post-war development direction (French-German cooperation). Its gun is not completely fictional either, as there were plans for such a gun but the data didn't survive the war, so the devs used the L7 as analogy.
- the ingame ST-I suspension is almost identical to the one of IS-4
- in 0.8.0, camo coefficients for tanks were changed to fit the new render, but the equation itself wasn't
- US arty M52, M53, M55, M109, US medium T42, Russian Object 103 and German VK3002DB Ausf. B in the game? "no comment"
- FCM36 Pak40 and B2 LeFH105 premium arty are French because the German branch had enough premium vehicles of its own, B2: it's not planned to be made German
- the regular AP and subcaliber AP penetration decals are the same
- the 30 second battle countdown starts approximately when 2/3 of the team are present
- the time gap between the point of base capture and return to hangar is 5 seconds. If in those 5 seconds a tank is destroyed (regardless of which team), the 5 second timer resets, so if the tanks are killed left and right during that period, it can reach a rather long time (even a teamkill can reset the counter)
- a HE arty shell that penetrates a tank hull and explodes within has the splash of 0 - it hasn't been decided whether this will get changed
- no plans for other gold shells for the tier 9 Patton
- no plans for radical change of TD gameplay
- no plans to improve the Superpershing turret rotation speed
- SerB: technically there are enough vehicles for 5 German TD branches, 3 without the "paper" vehicles (SS: the term Serb used is "a stretched vehicle" - might also mean vehicles buffed beyond their actual parameters)
- theoretically second branches of arty are possible, but there will most likely be none
- a huge change for 2013 (think "new physics" magnitude)? "I'll let you know when I'm ready"
- there is a rule that an arty cannot kill more than half of the crew in one shot
- devs think that the current sound quality (regarding the engine sounds) is quite okay, it'll improve though
- Storm prefers AT-15A to SU-122-44 because he doesn't like the aiming time and the accuracy and spread of the Soviet tank
- the devs state that rather than developing the system where the tanks are covered in mud when they pass it, they'd prefer to work on the game optimalisation
- SerB: we don't guarantee that the E50M will remain to be the tank with the most accurate gun around
- the idea that there will be two types of game clients: one for weak computers and one for strong ones has been scrapped, "for technical reasons"
- it's not out of the questions that there will be more tier 10 vehicles (of all classes) with unlockable modules, but SerB states it's not planned specifically
- no plans to reduce the XP requirements for skill and perk training
- no plans to move the game to another engine
- according to SerB, 3 arties per team is an optimal average number, when the number drops to that, there will be no more nerfs needed

- SerB states that the child protection is the duty of the parents (eg. no additional child protection features planned)
- Crusader is not designated as a top tier scount (never was)
- there is no automatic punishment system for insults (in contrast to teamdamage and teamkills) because insults don't directly influence the game
- lower frontal armor of E-100 won't be changed
- multithreading (real multicore support) - "only if there is middleware that can do that available for the render system we use" (SS: there was a more complicated answer but I am not a tech guy, not sure how to translate that)
- regarding the fact that the British don't have a hightier scout: "complete symmetry of branches was never intended"
- regarding Mr. Doyle's opinions and research, they were taken into account when considering German tanks, but real tests proved more important
- the ST-I model in game is historical, it is based on the original drawings from the archives
- SerB answering to a whiner, who asked "when will you stop adding new tanks and focus on quality instead?" "We won't. We are very sorry that this fact upsets you"
- the chance of transmission catching on fire is the same as with the engine (in case of E-100: 15 percent)
- the angles and sizes of IS-4 hull and armor will be re-checked by Storm (based on player complaints)
- devs state that the whine about 0 damage hits comes from basic misunderstanding on the player side as to how the game system works

A mon avis, ils ont raison de ne pas trop s'engager sur le long terme, c'est difficile à maitriser.

Il serait intéressant de retrouver les plannings annoncés en 2011 pour 2012 et voir ce qu'il en a été.Déjà fait, et oui, sans surprise, y'a eu des décalages, tout le temps.
Et WG a appris à ne plus annoncer "ouaich sûr dans 2/3/6/12 mois on te fait tel char avec telle stat et telle fonctionnalité".

Faudrait que les gens arrêtent d'être cons et de demander des news, sur tout, tout le temps, et ensuite couiner qu'une rumeur lancée par l'interprétation d'une demie-annonce n'est pas devenue réalité. - there are no plans to change the shell mechanism into something more historical: whiners would whine anyway and the server load would be much bigger (Storm added "naturally not, for many reasons")
- SerB states that everything is fine with API (SS: sorry, no idea what that is)
- two-speed turret rotation is not planned (SS: not sure this is correct, as the question isn't there whole - basically what some tanks had was that the turret rotation had two selectable speeds and the slower one was used for fine aiming - which was done generally manually anyway)
- currently, the work on new maps is stopped until the old ones are re-worked to the new render, but roughly 10 new maps are in various states of completion
- maps from South and central America ("Mexico") and "Savannah" are in plans, no exact number available on how many maps will come in 2013
- it is not planned to raise the compensation for arty HP loss by teamkills (SS: the issue is, that hightier arty, although it has low HP, has high repair costs to prevent it from being profitable, so it has relatively more repair cost per HP than other vehicles. However, compensation for teamdamage is calculated for all the vehicles the same, thus when the arty gets teamkilled, it recieves much less compensation than a regular tank).
- it's not yet determined where in the German tree will the Durchbruchwagen go (possible that it will lead to heavy tanks)

Je je comprends bien sa phrase dans le gestionnaire de tâches windows, change l'affinité du process "wot" pour l'assigner sur un Coeur dispo de ton processeur. (Après je ne sais pas s'il y a moyen d'avoir un truc permanent et je ne sais pas non plus si ca sera vraiment efficace)

- it's not clear yet whether the DW will be DW1 or DW2 or combination of both or whether it will really be designated as a heavy tank
- Q: "Since you ban nazi-named clans, will you ban homosexual-named clans too? After all children play the game" A: "A necrozoopedophile came visiting, tiny dead animals he brought with him" (SS: end of quote - and yes, it does rhyme in Russian) - apparently not, devs will ban only those names that are illegal by law
- 105mm L/100 gun - devs tried to implement such a weapon, looked horrible, was scrapped
- D-25 won't have its accuracy buffed. Devs state that its real-life accuracy was comparable to the German 88 L/71 and if they implemented it as such, everyone would be playing Russian tanks only
- devs don't think it's wrong (and unbalanced) that tanks from different eras fight each other (SS: for example that the Tiger was so overhyped and yet when facing T8-9 it underperforms)
- SerB states that if the amount of arty per battle doesn't drop after the introduction of tier 10 arty, more nerfs will come
- there is a possibility smokescreens will eventually make it into the game, but so far it's just an idea (SS: technical reasons, smoke is quite requiring)

Topic: maps, both old and new

First a bit of background: a player recently posted a blog entry, where he basically raged about the maps being bad. Storm got pretty pissed and wrote a short "counter-entry" and answered in the comments. Here is the info he shared:

- Komarin and Swamp will return in 2013 (Storm writes that on Komarin, the bases will be where the spawns are now)
- the re-worked maps are considered a failure and will be re-worked again
- Dragon's Ridge will be removed from the game in 0.8.4 and it will be reworked - how, Storm doesn't know yet
- Serene Coast will be removed also - also reworked, also not sure how yet
- all maps have the same chance to be selected - except for the new ones
- Prokhorovka will be "levelled" more, there are too many holes
- special maps for modes - not for now
- only 3-4 maps out of 33 are considered problematic, Storm hints that the problematic maps will be removed in 0.8.4 (SS: could imply not only Serene Coast and Dragon's Ridge will get removed)
- the broken roads of Ruinberg were also unintended (SS: not sure whether they got fixed or not yet)
- Storm will look into the server aiming circle for arty issue
- Storm won't remove the problematic maps right now, because it's technically complicated, it requires a server patch and currently, another patch is inbound, it has also to be done manually by removing files on the server (noone made an interface to do that, as the maps are removed like this only rarely)
- the issue of selecting for yourself which 3-4 maps you don't want to play is complicated - there would be balancing issues during low activity periods (early mornings etc.) and they can't make it work in prime time only, as some servers (US, Asia) have low activity periods quite often and because players would (rightfully) claim "why doesn't it work when I selected that in settings". A player followed this with a question if it could be done for RU server only, as an experiment (just as the EU server has the experimental nickname change and Russians don't), but Storm stated that would create too much anger, as this option is very much desired and EU players would rage they don't have that. It would be possible to create a system where ONE map can be de-selected, but Storm is still afraid of implementing that, because he thinks it would backfire. It would also create MM issues and cause longer waiting times, which is not acceptable in this case.
- if you meet SerB in battle and start shooting him (teamkill) or insult, he WILL ban you. And report you.
- for now, normalisation won't be reduced
- you get more XP when you survive the battle - that applies even if you teamkill (and that won't be changed)
- ultralow graphic setting? "use standard render"
- devs are happy with the balancing and the amount of Lowe tanks
- new tanks are better modelled than the old ones were
- the nasty spot at Live Oaks (I0 sector) that looks like shallow water on the minimap yet you will drown your tank there will be reworked
- the designated armor (see picture) on Jpz E-100 is cca 280-300mm thick (Storm doesn't remember exactly), not 500 as it would visually look like (250mm frontal casemate + 30-50mm armor plate), it LOOKS thicker however - the model will be fixed to reflect its real thickness, the nominal armor thickness won't be changed

Q: I find the lack of communication between players in the game. So my question is: are there any plans on fixing this gap in communication. And how do you handle tactical decisions in "pubbie" matches?
A: Yes, there are such plans. Partially for tactical communications purposes, and partially also just to enhance the social aspect of the game. It's a team game, after all, why not talk with your team mates?

Q: When will chat be fixed/changed?
A: I've seen a date, but can't recall what it is. But I have seen a date. They've been working the problem for a while.

Q: Light tanks like T-50-2, ELC AMX and Chaffee can reach really high speeds. So I was wondering were there a lot of losses caused by bad driving, or driving on uneven terrain that led to tanks being lost or crew being seriously injured? I assume there were some losses but were they really big, or was it just an occasional thing?
A: Heavy tanks can cause the same problem. You've seen those publicity shots of a T-90 shooting whilst in mid-air after launching from a ramp? Yeah, I do -not- want to be the gunner on that tank when it hits the ground and the sight comes up to meet him. Even a solid application of the brakes on a 70-ton M1 can result in lost teeth atop the hatches.

Q: What books would you recommend on Tank lore?
A: On the specifications? For the US, Hunnicutt is the standard. For German, Doyle/Jentz. British, usually Fletcher, and Russian is much easier if you speak Russian.

Q: Heard someone on forums suggest 5man platoons that get paired up with other 5man platoons in 15v15 matches. Any plans on something like this?
A: Not that I'm aware of. Would reduce the enjoyment of the random pubbies who become 'also rans' and 'cannon fodder' for the 5-man platoons.

Q: What arty do you think should be used to fill in the gaps if the current 8s go to 10 as has been mentioned in the past by WG?
A: I have sent some suggestions to Minsk. Whether they listened to me or not is another matter, but some of those suggestions have appeared on the proposed ten-tier branch I've seen come back, so I choose to believe that they did.

Q: First off, what is the story with Italian tanks?
A: Last I heard they are still going into the Pan-Euro tree. I've seen an interesting player proposed tree with enough entrants to almost make Italy a viable nation on its own, however, but I think it falls short at the Tier X level.

Q: Second off, have there been thoughts about adding in other cosmetic options to tanks other than inscriptions and flags?
A: There have been such thoughts.

Q: Any info on the American-British lend lease line? Looking forward to driving a Firefly and a desert rat Stuart.
A: I don't know if they'll put the Jerboa icon in the right place for the lend-lease tanks, but otherwise you'll be OK. I even see the Caunter scheme as a camo option. As for which specific lend-lease tanks will be there... I'm not in a position to reveal if it's not out already.

Q: Hi. I'm curious if you're happy with the state of clan wars and if you'll pursue eGaming more than you are now?
A: Clan Wars is still in Beta, so obviously someone thinks it can still be tweaked. We are making a much bigger push into E-Sports this year.

Q: Are there any plans to introduce skills/perks/bonuses unique to a country with some relation to history? eg German tanks get +5% view range ontop of optics because they had the best sights during WW2 and Americans get +5% on repairs because of their massive production lines etc.
A: I don't see the view range thing being implemented, it should already be a factor in the view range. Repair skill time is an interesting idea, however, I'll kick it up. I haven't actually seen anything directly on point to your suggestion.

Q: Can we expect expansion of the variety of tanks? Such as tiers above 10, different tank roles (such as rocket platforms), or maybe more nations?
A: Tier X is a hard limit. Other roles have been mentioned (I think the Sturmmoser Tiger is one example, and I seem to recall hearing about command tanks). We've a few more countries to come yet.

Q: Thanks for being here. I only have one question at the moment: One of the items I am most excited about is the possibility of Garage Battles. Will this ever become a real game type, and if so, how soon do you think we may see this kind of variety in the game?
A: I'd put a few dollars on it becoming a real game type. Actually, I'm not sure why it hasn't been already, they've been talking about it for long enough. I do not know the specific date off the top of my head.

Q: Why do HE shells feel so useless outside of large "derp" cannons? Are they even meant to be a viable options anymore.
A: Simply because HE shells are not a primary armor defeating round, but the game has nothing but armoured targets. I usually carry at 10 rounds HE or 1/4 of my loadout. Very useful for resetting caps, or just annoying things I can't otherwise damage.

Q: I was looking through the projected tech trees for each nation the other day and noticed that there is a second planned American medium tank line capped by the T95 MT. Can you give us any information about the tank that isn't readily available on other sources? (i.e. Wikipedia)
A: Hunnicutt's "Abrams" does a very good overview of it, I guess. It looks a lot like a squished T54. The project was started at the same time as T110, along with T96, except the T110 was designated a short-term one. Eventually they realised that the heavy guns intended for T96 could actually be mounted on T95 anyway, so T96 was nixed. In the end T95 became more a weapons testbed than a viable tank project in itself.

Q: Why did the soviets trade/give so much tank technology with the Chinese? and what modifications were done to these tanks to adapt them to the different terrains?
A: Ideological partners, I guess. Good communist friends. Not much. The Chinese tree seems to have a number of vehicles which are changed from the usability/internal space standpoint, more than the mobility/environment standpoint. USSR was so big that their tanks had to be capable of dealing with pretty much any environment that existed in China anyway. The significant change, I think was the creation of more light tanks in China, a reflection of the terrain in some of the neighbouring countries, and the requirement to get a few across to Taiwan.

Q: Hey Cheiftain, i have a question pertaining to the German medium line coming in 8.5(?). The World of Tanks forums have been debating what version of the Leopard 1 will be used, and was hoping you could clarify which it may be.
A: Well, I'm quite sure it won't be the welded turret A3 or A4! Beyond that, I'm not convinced myself. I've seen a couple of proposals, but the 3D model has not yet been created. At least, I can't see it and I can see plenty of other unreleased tanks.

Q: What do you think about the low tier game?
A: The new player experience has been a focus for us for a while. I know, it's not Eve, but there's still a learning curve particularly for someone not used to games with things like 'spotting mechanics', it can be seriously frustrating. Especially if you don't figure out that there are no respawns. Fortunately, some steps have been, and continue to be, taken to help new players adapt to the WoT environment. We're also taking the lessons to heart and immediately implementing what we can into WoWP and WoWS before they get launched.

Q: You probably don't know or can't say, but can you give us any information on the British tank destroyer tree?
A: Not much. Your typical favourites, Archer, Achilles and Tortoise are liable to be around somewhere. I'm afraid the 2pr isn't the cool-looking Aussie LPA Carrier, Tank Attack. There was a slew of British designs int the leadup to Tortoise (AT-15 is in the game already) so I might not be surprised to see some of those show up either.

Q: Sooo the Archer TD has a rear facing gun.... is that going to be implemented? Because that'd be awesomely hilarious.
A: Yes, but last I heard, they still haven't decided which way the thing will go when you press 'w' No, he won't get killed/hurt when you fire. There are a number of tanks which would cause significant bodily injury if they tried to shoot/move in the manner they do in the game. M26 and T-54 come to mind, for example. Loaders wouldn't last at all.

Q: How they going to play? Like the heavies, heavily armored and mediocre guns or different?
A: My guess is similar to the US line, except with slightly better guns. I'm sure they'll lose something to compensate.

Q: When are the British TDs going to come? Next patch? One after?
A: Can't answer (Not permitted)

Q: If introduced how would TD/SPG's like the Strumtiger work?
A: Last I heard, they were considering categorising those big boys as their own class of vehicle, neither TD nor SPG. I've not pushed finding out information on them, due to time prioritisation.

Q: The Leopard 1 and AMX 30 have been announced for the game and we allready have a T62 variant in game. Could a configuration of the M60 Patton fit into the game? If so, how do you think this would work out?
A: The cannon would surely be the M58 105mm if it were to be incorporated. (I can't think of another.. the 120mm smoothbore is way too OP for WoT). Probably the counterpart to the later versions, such as AMX-30B1/B2 or Leopard 1A1A4 or Leopard 1A5.

Q: How are those new french super heavies going to be played? they have multiple large guns so will multiple gun support be added with them?
A: Last I saw, multi-gun support was not yet enabled for them.

Q: Where German tanks really superior in ww2 and if so why they r not very good at the game?
A: German tanks were superior at what they were designed to do. Ease of maintenance, for example, was not one of those superior traits. American crews probably didn't care how many hours of sleep the Panther crew had lost trying to replace the #2 inside left roadwheel, they were far more concerned about the rather big gun and heavy armour facing them. I think they're pretty good in game. Tiger (P)s in particular annoy the heck out of me, and I defy anyone to say the 3601(H) is a poor tank.

Q: Will there ever be a skill based matchmaker?
A: And I believe Chris Keeling also gave a definitive 'no' about three weeks ago.

Q: Historically how would have the Batchat 25t and the Leopard 1 compared?
A: Batchat 25t really was a fairly unique design. More of a cavalry tank than a battle tank, I would say. Certainly history has borne out the winner, the Leopard seems to have been easier to build, easier to protect from NBC effects, and easier to upgrade. Especially once things like gun stabilisation were invented. I don't think BatChat would have ever had a front-line tank role in the French Army, but I can definitely see a use for it in specialist roles, if they had the money and personnel to spare.

Q: Do you plan on having any sort of Stuka zu fuss or calliope?
A: I seem to recall seeing Calliope as a proposed vehicle.

Q: When will you improve the chat box? Sometimes messages scroll too fast and I miss them.
A: When the improvement is ready. They're working on it, I don't have a date.

Q: Have you heard anything about a historic battle mode around the office any?
A: Yes. When, I don't know, but yes. I know Serb is personally a fan of the concept.

Q: I was wondering if we could get your opinion on/any news about changes to the 'scout' matchmaking. That is, those light tanks that tier 4 and higher (with a couple of exception) can get into much higher level games than same tier mediums and heavies, while being excluded from most matches where they would be top tier.
A: Being discussed. I don't think the role of the light scout is completely gone (esp in company battles and some maps on Clan Wars), but yes, I understand where you're coming from in random battles. I suspect that future game modes may well prove to make it worthwhile to have a light scout in your garage, even without expanding the light tier level. (eg M41 for US tree)

Q: Is there any word on the FV215b and it's conversion to Tier X TD and whether it will use the historically accurate 183 mm cannon.
A: FV215b (183) is the Tier X TD as far as I know. It is -not- however currently slated to be a converstion from the FV215b (120) which is scheduled to sit happy as larry in its current position on the Heavy line.

A: Presumably like a TD. It's an interesting problem, though, because there is no traverse to the gun at all, so any 'aim' will require movement of the track and thus blooming of the aiming reticle. Maybe they'll give it a really low 'aim on the move' modifier?

Q: Any chance you can tell us when to expect the German TD line to be finished?
A: Nope. At this point, I don't know myself. The models exist, at least. I guess it's down to final balancing and the release schedule.

Q: Has there been any further thoughts/info about being able to fire multiple guns on a tank (eg M3 Lee)?
A: No. Still on the 'we'd like to do it but haven't done it yet' list.

Q: Are there any plans to introduce some of the more obscure premium tanks into the game, at least that you can tell us about?
I'm mainly interested in the Type 59 G, and WZ-111.
A: I don't believe either of those two are likely to be seen on the US server. If you're referring to 'regional oddities' like the PzIV Hydro or M4A2E4, they are server-specific, and are also unlikely to appear on servers that they are not currently found on.

Q: Can you confirm that the current british t10 will go TD and be replaced by the chieftan?
A: I cannot. I'm really not sure where that rumour started, last I heard FV-215b with the 183 was going to be the TD, leaving the current FV-215b as the top Heavy.

Q: Is there a chance that countries that have no tier 10 tanks (and tier 9, ect.) might be added? (For example, Japan might be one of the countries.)
A: I have seen no proposals for countries without Tier X tanks. Otherwise, where's the reward for grinding through it?

Q: Tank Emblems, we will be seeing anything new in the future? I like the ability to add custom decals others can see in game, and realize that "over-doing" this option could really ruin the look and feel of the game. But the current emblems are kind of boring and poopy looking
A: They are a little bit, aren't they? The desire to put bumper stickers all over the tanks seems to be a particularly American trait, there's less demand for it elsewhere. Which I guess makes sense, if you look at the back of a car in Dallas vs one in Birmingham. We're still expanding them, though, albeit a bit slowly. Personally, I'm not a fan of the things at all, but I'm a killjoy. I don't even put camo on my US tanks, as they were rarely applied in real life.

Q: Is there going to be new tanks to the dedicated light tank lines?
A: Yes. Light lines are going to be expanded, I believe M41 was pretty much confirmed by the Minskonians this week.

Q: What do you think about being able to veto a number of map so we don't/rarely play them ? Also new game modes would be appreciated.
A: Personally? I don't like it. You'll have all the artillery vetoing Himmelsdorf in the hopes that they will get Prokhorovka, all the heavies vetoing Prokhorovka so that they don't have to worry about the artillery... The whole rock/paper/scissor balance will be thrown out of whack. However, there has been talk of 'reduced probability' options, or 'increased probability' options which I guess I can live with if correctly implemented. Agreed on new game modes. They're still working on them.

Je comprend pas comment vous pouvez aimer commencer au nord sur serene coast. Le moindre med adverse en B1 se dégomme toute la team du nord qui progresse en dessous que ce soit prêt de l'eau ou au centre et sans pouvoir se prendre de tir d'artillerie. Et le moindre mec qui tenterai de venir le tuer doit s'exposer aux tirs de tout les mecs en face.

Je suppose que les gens ont tendance à un peu trop se paumer, et c'est vrai que selon le char ça peut prendre un petit moment d'aller d'un point A à un point B.

Après, la base 1 est en hauteur tandis que la 2 est dans une cuvette, ça pose peut-être un souci de balance. Quelqu'un a le comparatif ratio défaites / victoires pour chaque base sur Dragon's Ridge sous la main ?

Le seul soucis à la limite de Dragon Ridge, c'est le spot au spawn sud qui permet de tirer le passage "en sortie de spawn" du nord qui déséquilibre à la limite, sinon... J'vois pas

Trop bordélique à mon sens, sur un heavy c'est la galère à jouer à cause du relief, difficile d'avoir une vision globale de la situation à cause des ouvertures un peu partout, et en général tout le combat se déroule sur toujours le même tier de la carte, le reste étant desert, à part pour quelques scouts qui trainent un coup de temps en temps...
Et si tu descend, espère même pas remonter avant la fin de la partie... :D

Bref, je suis pas fan, je prend plus de plaisir à jouer sur Serene Coast :D

- IS-6's armor is completely historical, Wikipedia has it wrong apparently
- there are some vague plans to improve the quality of models (resp. textures)
- future graphics optimalisations are planned
- it's not planned to make crew not "heat-resistant" when the tank burns because it would cripple it too much
- Steel wall: hits from allies don't count (SS: related to the fact that there was a bug with sniper medal where shooting corpses DID count)
- an autoloader is not a special collision module, it falls under the ammo rack
- the smoke and dust effects won't have a separate on/off switch (you'll have to use 3rd party programs)
- the fact tanks sometimes "drop" to the ground from small height after the battle countdown stops is because the tracks get aligned to the land like that by the game engine
- the access to the ingame data such as exact tank armor placement and its exact values and statistics (detailed winrate, killed tanks etc.) are a "gray area" - mods that collect them aren't banned, but the devs aren't very happy about those number-collecting mods as they see the numbers are available for other purposes (WG statistics etc.), they don't plan to block the statistics gathering
- improved ventilation, BIA etc. do not directly affect gun accuracy, only via the crew skill
- Type 62 won't get its old hull back
- it's possible other nations will have rotating turret TD's, not only Americans (SS: might refer to Waffenträgers)
- 105mm L/100 not planned (not needed)

D'un autre côté le canon est faiblard pour du tier VIII, mais certains n'ont l'air de voir que le côté blindé.

Juste qu'avec le vert stab, la ventil, et BiA on arrive sans trop de soucis à chopper des points faible chez le mec en face. Et comme l'is6 a un dpm d'ours ça se fini très mal pour lui. (en plus comme il est quasiment tout le temps sous estimé ce char, ça aide.)

Ben quand le truc est à 100% face à toi il est assez facile de le passer (que ce soit dans le bas de caisse ou dans la trappe du pilote) par contre dès qu'il prend 5~10° d'angle c'est l'horreur. C'est pour ça que quand je suis dans la mélée et que j'attend de prendre un pain j'oscille sans arrêt pour compliquer la tache du mec. Ça marche très souvent.


Et comme il colle ~390 toutes les 9.5 sec ben ça pique.

Je confirme ce que dit le monsieur (merci à ceux qui me l'ont conseillés lorsque j'hésitait entre ça et le T34, d'ailleurs, je ne sais plus qui exactement) jusqu'à la semaine dernière j'avais 58% dessus avec moins de 300 parties (bon là j'ai pas mal perdu avec, suite à la semaine de l'enfer que je viens de passer, ses légions d'épic noobs et ses hordes de batailles perdues, snif)

Comme on en voit peu en jeu -les gens préférant sortir du Lowe ou du T34- les 3/4 des joueurs sous-estiment lourdement l'IS-6 et ça leur pose pas mal de mauvaises surprises :D Et puis la pénétration est pas si nulle que ça, en jouant les weakspots adverses, ça se compense tout à fait, et puis j'embarque toujours 4 golds en cas de coup vraiment dur, ça suffit en général.

C'est même d'ailleurs assez impressionnant si on arrive à bien gérer son angle, mon meilleur souvenir à ce niveau, ça restera une partie sur Redshire où mon équipe perd, jusqu'a ce que je me pointe en plein dans la base ennemie à découvert (je ne pensait pas y trouver d'autres chars que l'artillerie), seul, avec 3 arties occupées à tirer sur les copains, une qui me cible et me rate, 2 mediums, un KV1S et 2 TD qui me tirent dessus en permanence : résultat, je descend toutes les arties sauf une, un TD sur les 2, et les 2 mediums : je meurs uniquement parce que je rate mon dernier tir sur un 3ème TD qui viens de se pointer, sans quoi j'en aurait emporté un de plus, et probablement la dernière artillerie avec :D. J'ai du encaisser une 30aine de tir, facile ^^

However, Porsche Tiger in its tank form only had 100mm frontal armor - SerB replies that "since there was only one Porsche Tiger, you might say that 100 percent of Porsche Tigers, that ever really fought in the war, had the frontal armor 200mm thick" (SS: this is TSB - "typical SerB bull... dung")

Je regarderais si je retrouve le replay de la partie dont je parlais plus haut, histoire de montrer ce que la bestiole est capable d'encaisser : j'y tiens 2 minutes facile en plein découvert dans la base ennemie à me faire mitrailler de partout à moins de 100 mètres, de face, de dos, de flanc ; et on parle de tirs de Ferdinand, de Hellcat, de T25-AT, de KV1S, de 2 hummels, et de 2 mediums quelconques :D
(Et je meurt parce que je fais une connerie sur le T25-AT, sans quoi je le tuait et continuait la série pour 30 secondes de bonus ^^ )

Intéressant cet article, même s'il est basé sur le serveur russe ! Allez, traduction/résumé pour les feignasses :
-le mode Clan Wars a une équipe de développeurs dédiée seulement depuis fin 2012 (on peut donc espérer plus de mises à jours plus vite)

-des serveurs pour gérer la carte vont être rajoutés, serveurs plus proches des régions concernées (ex : serveur de Moscou pour la Russie ouest, serveur en Europe de l'ouest pour nous etc etc)

-la carte est toujours prévue pour être unifiée et commune à tous les serveurs de jeu, les nouveaux serveurs sont là aussi pour aider à ça. Les régions auront leur prime time en fonction de l'heure réelle de la zone concernée (donc comme actuellement pour nous où l'Europe de l'est commence tôt et l'extrême Ouest au plus tard). Pas d'estimation de date.

-le serveur russe a eu droit à deux évènements : l'Atlantide cet été (île qu'on a pu voir au millieu de l'atlantique) défendue par quelques bons clans et le staff WG (ils parlent de Ratte, ça vaudrait le coup d'avoir des screens). Un second en automne avec la Mongolie et des combats tiers 1-3. Ce dernier event a eu plus de succès.

-d'autres évènements auront lieu mais aucune info s'il y en aura ailleurs que sur le serveur Russe

-mise à jour du serveur CW russe en janvier / février, puis sur les autres serveurs, si les tests sont concluants les ajouts resteront
-Pillage : en conquérant une région vous pouvez choisir de la piller ou de la capturer normalement. Si pillée : on récupère de suite 3 jours de gains mais plus personne n'obtiendra d'or dessus pendant 7 jours.
-Révolte : si une région se révolte, elle devient un territoire de débarquement jusqu'à la fin de son prime time (ie : un soir de bataille) avec les mêmes possibilités/contraintes que les autres landings. La révolte est favorisée par la perte de provinces (à priori de toute province détenue par le clan), la perte du quartier général, l'absence de jetons sur la province et d'autres facteurs. Inversement la révolte a moins de chances de se produire s'il y a des troupes dessus et si le clan ne perd pas de territoire (voir en gagne ?)

-Le verrouillage des tanks va changer : une attaque réussie réduit le temps d'indisponibilité des chars, de moitié sur un territoire normal (de 7 soirées bloquées on passe à 3 donc) et de 90% (!!!) sur les territoire "gold" (je suppose que ce sont les territoire qui rapportent plus).

-Amélioration de l'interface de CW pour cet été sur le serveur Russe : une seule grande carte, pas de région à changer, tout disponible sur la même "page" (j'espère que ça sera optimisé sinon ça va bouffer sévère ! )

L'ajout d'une équipe de développeur ne peut être que du tout bon, on a vu ce que ça a donné quand ils ont embauché plus et racheté la boite du moteur graphique, un bon coup de fouet dans les maj.

Si le système de pillage est pas trop important (bien que ça permette de rusher une zone, piquer les tunes, l'abandonner pour un gain susbtantiel...), le système de révolte pourrait bien être sympa ! Faudra oublier sans doute l'échange régulier de territoire avec les alliés et les zones désertées, mais ça serait drôle d'arriver au beau millieu du bloc ennemi...

Le système de chars bloqué beaucoup moins longtemps si c'est une attaque victorieuse est un petit plus bien sympa aussi.

Je trouve ça dommage qu'il n'y ait pas quelque chose pour les joueurs "casual", un truc qui ne demandent pas autant d'investissement que les CW normales.

Une annonce récente semblait indiquer que l'idée était abandonnée, car en fait les mercenaires n'étaient que des joueurs de clan qui se faisaient payer par leur clan, et peu étaient des casus qui jouaient des clans divers.

- SerB states that defragmenting the disk every 3-4 months helps making WoT run better
- it's possible than in the future, more low-caliber but high ROF British guns will be introduced, but SerB states those weapons were quite unique
- in 0.8.3, the golden shell was removed from Lorraine 155 only from one of the cannons, not all
- VK4502P now has a new frontal armor weakspot - the bow machinegun (regarding the change of the VK4502P in 0.8.3)
- if the server resets when you are in the middle of a battle and you drop out of battle to the menu instead of garage, the results of the battle do not count
- T32 won't recieve a more powerful gun
- there is no plan to make the MM loading screen (SS: where you see the table with various amounts of available players and tank classes straight after you press "Battle") stay on for some minimal time so you can cancel the battle
- Object 261 and T-82 had some minor armor bugs fixed
- it is not considered to award the scouts who light up the targets 75 percent of the arty kills' XP instead of todays' 50 percent
- the 0.8.3 WZ-132 engines (second engine: cost 10500XP, but the only difference is 10kg of weight) are not bugged, it's intentional
- same goes with the WZ-120 engine, that the asking player considers too expensive for its power

Pas joué personnellement, mais d'après le site, faut s'attendre à du Type-59. Bien blindé de face et assez chiant à percer, un gros rof, une bonne maniabilité, une pénétration dans la moyenne, mais très sensibles aux tirs dans les flancs.

Il n'y a pas de "gameplay de faction", les chars sont assez différents en soi.

Le T1 est loin d'être le char du siècle. Il est assez drôle au mieux.
Le T2 est un T-26 avec un canon de char anglais (le pom pom, si tu les as joués).
Le T3 est sympa, je ne l'ai pas vraiment joué.
Le T4 est un M5 stuart sans l'obusier naze mais avec un canon de 47mm assez sympa.
Le T5 est un T-34

Branche light :
Char légers, rapides, fragiles et sensible de l'ammorack.
Le T6 à un canon un poil faiblard sur le papier mais a un barillet.
Le T7 et le T8 sont des chars avec des canons de meds bien bourrins (sans barillet) mais avec la mobilité d'un light. (Et le blindage aussi)

Branche meds :

Le T6 est un T-34-85
le T7 est un mix entre type-59 et T-34-85, assez chelou, pas vraiment intéressant j'ai trouvé.
Le T8 est mieux, bonne mobilité, bon canon, assez semblable au Type-59 au fait.
Le T9 est méchant, la mobilité n'est pas extraordinaire mais est quand même là, il a des bons canons (commence avec des canons "genre T-54", fini avec un canon d'IS-4)
Le T10 est plutot mobile et son canon est un "canon d'IS-4 ++"

Le T9 et le T10 n'ont aucune dépression de canon (débattement vertical vers le bas).

Branche heavy :

Le T7 est un IS, mais son canon spécifique au chinois a des stats ultra-bourrines (il me semble que c'est 300 de péné à la gold ...)
Le T8 est un semblant d'IS-3 un peu chelou, pas très bien blindé mais blindage extrêmement incliné, canon pourri.
Le T9 me est un espèce de mix entre IS-3 et "IS-4 de quand il était T9", blindage pas dégeu, mobilité pas dégeu, canon d'IS-7.
Le T10 est un peu à part, très mobile, assez mal blindé de caisse (mais la tourelle est balèze), assez peu de points de vie pour un heavy T10, mais parfait pour des tactiques de rush.

Pro-tip : la plupart des chinois haut-tier on une plaque anti-éclats sur l'avant (genre garde-boue vers l'avant, situé "au milieu" du blindage frontal). Sur bon nombre de ses chars, taper dans ce truc te fait atteindre assez facilement le réservoir (belle chance de feu).

C'est du blindage équivalent au frontal du char pour la plupart, donc il faut un bon calibre. Le seul qui nous a paru un peu faiblard sur ce point, si mes souvenirs sont bons, c'est le heavy T9 ou, dès que tu as une péné "correcte" tu passes cette plaque comme pour rire.

- the idea to make World of Tanks came in the last days of 2008, the original "founders" were Petr Bityukov, Slava Makarov, Viktor Kisly and Marat Karpeko - and it took a few months to bring the idea to alpha stage
- The equation for repair costs: (HP lost * repair cost for 1 HP) + (module HP lost * repair cost for 1 module HP)
- there is no special autoloader module, it counts as a part of the ammo rack module
- the peak times lag isn't cause by servers themselves, it is generally caused by the data paths being overloaded (SS: sorry, I don't know the proper IT terminology - SerB means the "wires" or "pathways" that lead the data)
- the speed reduction when driving close to rocks, slopes and other objects is realistic, won't be removed
- reworking the "expert" archievement? "no comment for now" (SS: the issue was that the devs blamed the expert medal for being a part of the reason for too much arty, as it is generally easier to archieve expert medal with artillery)
- the shot (trajectory) calculations are the same in sniper mode and arcade mode, even though the arcade mode seems to "jerk" less when driving over rough terrain - it's the same, just that in the sniper mode it's simply more noticeable, also, devs state that the gun aim circle spread after shooting in sniper mode is NOT bigger than after shooting in arcade mode, just more noticeable
- SerB doesn't care about the caricatures of him on the forums
- there seems to be no difference between the stock and upgraded Chinese IS-2 turret ("up to you whether you want it or not") (SS: ROF?)
- when a tank is destroyed (regularily), it does not mean all modules get destroyed (and counted as repair costs), they only appear so the players don't get confused
- module repair costs are not tied to the module purchase price
- barrels of AFK tanks move when you move close in front of them, because the aiming point automatically changes
- tracers weren't changed in 0.8.3
- currently, a drowned tank gets all modules destroyed (extra repair costs) in order to deter the drowners
- Panzer B2 has the tier 4 MM max and S35 tier 3-5 out of "balance reasons"
- there will be a special MM for light tanks too (SS: same amount of LT's in each team)
- there is no "ricochetability" (description) parameter planned (SS: the ability of a tank to ricochet a shell), because it's impossible to determine
- the Chinese Type 34 is historical and correctly balanced (SS: from what I could gather)
- the American R-975-C1 350hp engine will be rebalanced to match the Chinese one from the M5A1 stuart (400hp instead of 350hp, but 16kg more), the whole US M5 Stuart will be rebalanced
- capture points from capping the base apparently count towards the cappers' XP even though the battle is won by destroying all tanks
- the Foch 155 autoloader is realistic (SerB argues that it was made even for the FV4005 183mm gun)
- M10 Ersatz has German camo for "technical reasons"
- the removal of the maps from the random pool for players is really complicated, no decision yet
- the 3 degrees gun depression for Chinese tier 9 and 10 meds is final for now
- it's possible Lend-Lease tanks will take part in historical battles
- the components of various Stuarts might be a bit modified in order to differ them (and the US from Chinese)
- the modules with the same names in Chinese and other nations' tanks differ in properties because they were "produced differently", there are no plans to make Chinese modules compatible with other nations' modules "for technical reasons"
- the devs don't see the existence of the bug where the graphics card runs at 100 percent in the hangar
- Info about 0.8.4 will be "soon"
- there are no plans for new equipment (SS: such as ventilation, rammers etc.)
- some new company formats (apart from the developed 7x42) are not planned (for example limited to odd number tiers)

- the free camera mod was banned due to "game decisions" (SS: abuse), including the fact that players could watch for falling trees, destroyed objects etc. freely with such a mod
- second branch of German meds will not use the 88mm L/100 and 75mm Konisch guns
- it's possible visual upgrades for hangars will be introduced
- Chinese IS-2 has higher penetration values because of "late model shells"
- the goal the devs want to reach regarding the arty balance is 3 arties per team on all tiers
- no plans to change the Object 261 gun model (SS: some player claims it was thicker in real life and it had a muzzle brake)
- no other tanks suitable for the role of tier 5 Chinese medium have been found (SS: actually Kuomintang was using Shermans too, but they weren't implemented, because they were completely stock, they'd be a direct copy of the existing Sherman without different guns etc.)
- SerB won't disclose how teamdamage points are exactly calculated (SS: not the damage itself, but how much of what you need to get banned - this is related to the issue that TOG players keep complaining that retards actually ram them intentionally and by damaging themselves, they actually cause the TOG player to accumulate teamdamage points)
- the asterisk in the TOG 2* name is historical
- superplatoons (5 members) won't be implemented, they would be too unbalanced
- snow on the maps (like it was in the hangar during the seasonal christmas hangar event) would reduce the performance too much, for now anyway
- it's possible hitpoints will be modified for the historical battles, not yet sure
- regarding the Chinese tanks: the tier 10 heavy and medium vehicles' plans impressed SerB quite a lot, altogether these two projects roughly form an equivalent of the Soviet Object 167M (T-62B, the D-83 122mm version), the medium vehicle with its 122mm cannon and the heavy with its 68 degrees frontal armor - and all this despite the fact that the Chinese didn't know about the Soviet prototype research, they archieved it on their own (apparently, the frontal armor shape, similiar to the one of the IS-7, evolved from the IS-3 concept). Regarding the Chinese cast turret shape - there were other turrets, welded ones (to compensate for the low depression of the guns), but those came later, not in the 60's. There might even be a book about the Chinese tanks from WG. As for the T-62 similiarity, the Chinese acquired the T-62 first in 1969 during the Sino-Soviet border conflict at the Damanskij island.
- the turret rotation speed is a balance parameter, all tanks have it higher than they had in real life
- battletier of all non-premium tanks won't be lowered (SS: no idea why someone asked such a stupid question)
- SerB answers on the question how would an appearance of a T-54 tank company influence the war in 1942: "If they appeared in Ural (SS: where the factories were), positively - if they appeared on the front, German engineers could get a lot of ideas from them also"
- the armor value displayed in the tank statistics is the most characteristic one of the concerned part, usually it's also the thickest part
- tier 10 "121" does NOT equal WZ-121 aka Type 69, it's a different project and an early version at that (there is only a very weak connection between 121 and WZ-121)
- the T1E6 gun has a maximum range of 375mm (as far as SerB remembers)
- the dynamic tank naming is principially possible (but not sure to be implemented)
- it's possible that there will be a Soviet arty or TD based on the T-27 tankette implemented into the game
- two-barreled tanks might be introduced into the game, it is theoretically easier to implement than multiturret designs, but also requires some work
- machineguns (as secondary weapons) won't be implemented because it would strain the server too much, however the Soviet 12,7mm DShK will appear as a main weapon at some point most likely
- it is not planned to introduce antiaircraft (and amphibious) tanks in forseeable future (SS: regarding the possible introduction of the T-90 AA light vehicle)
- elite Chi-Ha roughly corresponds to the Japanese Shinhoto Chi-Ha

A: Have to account of interests of varios servers and regions - RU is the largest, China is second largest, EU - 3rd, US - 4th. We also have SEA and Korea, both are growing fast. Thus most of the decisions are dictated by global vision.

Q: A rather long question

a) Japanese tanks - earlier in 2012 (nov/dec) there was an info by SerB and Storm that they managed to secure some new Japanese archive and that they still missed the plans for top tier heavies at that point. Does WG have enough data to implement top tier Japanese heavies now?
b) Polish tanks - there was an info (by SerB I believe) that he had enough data to implement tier 7,8,9 Polish tanks, is that so, or was it just the rumor?
c) Is there a candidate considered for tier 10 Polish tank (of any class, something else than the funny Lem tank), or are they still looking?
d) Is there some other candidate for tier 10 Italian tank than the M47 Patton (with the 105mm L7)?
e) Are there any hightier (7,8,9,10) Hungarian tanks available WG found about or are they still looking?

A: a) As far as I'm aware there is still not enough reference material to make up the whole tree, however our guys do know where to dig and whom to approach.
b) In my opinion, up to tier 7-8.
c) Nope, there is no such candidate. That tank was more of a joke.
d) We are not considering Patton at this stage.
e) As far as I'm aware guys haven't found those yet, however they haven't been working a lot on EU tree.

Alors si j'ai bien suivi les différentes sessions (traduites en français approximatif dans la section fr du forum off européen), l'idée est de continuer avec le hard cap jusqu'à l'arrivée des arty tier 10, puis de retirer le hard cap, voir comment les choses évoluent avec le nouveau MM et nerfer jusqu'à ce qu'ils trouvent qu'il n'y a plus surabondance d'arty, le but visé étant à priori 3 arty max par équipe.

Enfin si j'ai bien suivi, ce que balance Wannamama c'est du russe traduit en anglais par un tchèque, il est donc fort probable que quelques nuances puissent passer à la trappe dans ce processus....

ca je l'ai constaté personnellement, tu spottes une arty, elle disparait, elle se fait blindshot, si c'est assez rapide tu récupères la participation au spot.

- if you destroy an enemy tank without anyone spotting him (for example by firing at tracer source), it counts as if you lit it up yourself for the sake of XP award
Ben tout est dans l'interprétation du "without anyone spotting it".
Parce que si elle a déjà été spottée, c'est que quelqu'un l'a fait, donc elle ne remplit plus cette condition.
Enfin je le comprends comme ça.

Je comprends ce que tu veux dire, mais je maintiens que la phrase peut être comprise de deux façons.
"if you destroy an enemy tank without anyone spotting him" pour moi signifie "si vous détruisez un char ennemi sans que personne ne le repère".

A partir de là,
- soit comme tu dis on comprend que le char ne doit pas être repéré au moment du kill ;
- soit comme je pense cela signifie que le char ne doit jamais avoir été repéré. L'exemple du tracer semble confirmer cette hypothèse (en général on tire sur un tracer sans avoir eu un visuel radar préalable).

Il faudrait plus de retours d'expériences pour le savoir. Le seul qu'on a ici est le tien, il va dans le sens de mon interprétation, mais ça demande vérification.
Note aussi que ça peut venir d'une façon de rédiger hasardeuse en anglais.

Tu comprends mal Elviejo. Le terme "spotting" a trés précisément le sens de "en train d'être spotté". Ce qui donne plutôt "si vous détruiser un char que personne n'est en train de spotter", et là, qu'un tank fut ou non spotté au préalable, il tombe toujours dans la même catégorie.

Mais admettons. Il me semble vain de lancer une controverse grammaticale sur un texte traduit en anglais depuis le russe. Si c'est votre interprétation qui doit être comprise, c'est bien un bug ; sinon, c'est juste que c'est mal formulé (comme semble en attester l'expérience de keulz).

- it's possible Panzer B2 will appear in the gift shop (SS: Russian GS that is) during some special events, not guaranteed however
- (Premium) Type 59 might have its MM weight changed "if necessery"
- drawing distance (SS: NOT view range) depends on the angle and direction you are looking at (diagonally it's longer), it is however the same on all the maps
- SerB states that (Russian) players making clans with names like Totenkopf, Leibstandarte and Das Reich will not be banned straight away, because they are usually just little kiddie idiots. If they keep doing that, they get banned
- SerB is a Russian citizen - he doesn't have clear preference between Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, he might write a memory book when he retires
- autoaim works on both client- and server-side, it's practically useless when the target's movement is perpendicular to yours
- confirmed: new arty pieces (when the arty branch is prolonged to tier 10) do not have to be inserted after tier 6 or 7, but anywhere really, it's also not guaranteed that the economical model (profit, costs) of current tier 8 arties will remain the same at tier 10

- visibility checks have the same frequency in sniper and arcade mode, they are performed by the server and the server doesn't care, whether you are in sniper or arcade mode, that's a client function
- "teleporting" and "appearing" tanks are usually caused by packet loss, Storm advises to check connection
- the devs haven't dealt yet with the issue that enemy tank silhouette is not highlited when the tank takes cover behind another dead tank wreck
- different viewpoints and targetting enemies in arcade mode that you can't target in snipermode comes from the fact that both arcade mode camera and sniper mode camera use different axis (in sniper mode the axis is identical to the axis of the gun).
- Storm will check reports of a bug that when a tank is moving behind certain obstacles (wooden fense and the wire fence in Port map mentioned), it moves jerkily, eg. "teleports" or "jumps" (but Storm thinks this is caused by some other factor, not the obstacles themselves)
- autoaim doesn't aim at the center of the silhouette, it aims at the point, around which the gun of the vehicle rotates (tanks have it in the turret, TD's in the hull).
- Russian tree on the RU server has new premium vehicles planned: SG-122 arty (basically a Panzer III hull with a 122mm howitzer), T-35 heavy, SU-76(I), SU-85I (these two will be gift tanks most likely) and ZIS-30 TD (SerB will tell whether it will be a regular or gift vehicle when it gets introduced)
- US tree has a new premium arty planned: Sexton
- French tree new premium SPG's: R35 AC and ACL135
- Q: "Why does tank A have more HP than tank B?" A: "If you give us historical amount of that tank's hitpoints, we'll correct it immediately"
- Q: "I've read two branches of British TD's are going to be implemented, will they come at the same time? What will be the second British tier 10 TD?" A: "Wait for the patchnotes"
- devs are considering new Chinese tier 8 premium tank to implement (so they don't have to sell the Type 59), they recently discovered several possible candidates, but so far no details
- SerB states that the Soviets did have turreted tank destroyers, namely the Object 416 (http://www.sg.hu/forumkepek/2012_02/enigma.jpg), based on the chassis of Object 112 (SerB states that Object 416 was a hybrid, it's possible to implement it both as medium tank and as a TD)
- the reason for ingame shell normalisation is "it's historical"
- TS-31 tank destroyer (http://sa100.ru/armor/Heavy_Tanks/5.2_files/ts_31_12.jpg) won't be implemented, there is the T110E5 already on the spot it would fit

- SerB states that although timeframe is secondary when implementing a tank, vehicles such as ASU-85 are difficult to implement into branches as they don't fit

- The option to install additional armor screens as an equipment is not yet ready either
- The British Mk.I tank has not yet been implemented, because the devs want to release it with both 57mm guns and not just with one, eg. required the multiturret implementation
- Russian tree and the USA tree could have 2nd arty branches, but SerB states "are you sure we need more arties?"
- no tanks have special hidden "modifiers" that increase their ramming damage
- the new LT MM won't bind the amount of LT per team to the amount of arty per team

- no additional info on the historical battles, ATM the devs are working on CW's
- the closest new mode is the garage battle, needs a lot of re-balancing (Storm adds:

- if tank A has a top engine that doesn't need to be researched in order to unlock tank B and tank B has the same engine as stock, by unlocking tank B you automatically research the engine that can be used with tank A (works the same with all modules) (SS: related to the question whether by unlocking the FV215b you automatically unlock the Rolls Royce Griffon for the Conqueror)
- so far, the number of arties has decreased after the nerf, however, SerB is not yet decided whether it's enough or more nerfs will come
- IT-130 tank destroyer (SS: Basically SU-122-54 with a 130mm gun) won't be implemented in the game. SerB states that he doesn't have any data about the vehicle and that it's possible it was a misidentification of one of the SU-122-54 mutations equipped with the M-62 cannon. Either way, SU-122-54 isn't getting a new gun.
- SerB states that after the US autoloader branch introduction, there were fewer French tanks playing randoms, but only by a little
- more Kolobanov-like archievements won't be implemented into the game
- the separate statistics for random and company (CW) battles currently have extremely low priority

- as for the amount of ammo carried, developers are trying to be historical, but the ammo was increased with some machines that in real life carried too few shells to last thru the game
- the developers know which celebrities are the fans of World of Tanks but they won't disclose that info
- "national voices" will be implemented (WIDID) - (Russian tanks speak Russian etc.)
- there is an "indirect" relationship between the overall HP pool of the tank and the HP of the installed modules
- tier 5 LT and tier 6 MT have roughly the same MM weight. A question was asked, since they are MM-weight-wise roughly equal, if when a tier 5 LT destroys a tier 6 MT, whether it counts as a kill of a tank that is one tier higher. It does.
