We are really sorry for any disappointment! If we would have known, that in the end we had to put together 10.000 boxes in 60 different combinations and send it out to 70+ countries, we would stick to the digital rewards probably... Maybe we did some mistakes on our way, but we also made an extra effort for you, our backers.
The limited collector’s edition from Deep Silver is different from your rewards. It contains the plastic figure, not metal one with hand painted shield. It contains the 30 pages art book; backer’s edition offers 100 pages with comments from our Art Director. Backers map is bigger and with a lot details.
There is also another effort we put into our community, which is suddenly forgotten. We produced and released five Alpha versions and a Beta version of the game for you. Sounds simple, but it is was a lot of additional work and we spend countless nights by scripting & coding the special versions for each release.
We gathered your feedback from playing the early versions from thousands of questionnaires, forums and emails and we implemented a lot of your comments! We also added a lot of your names and pictures into the game, some of you will be immortalized in Kingdom Come: Deliverance forever.
We produced 17 video updates and 5 special videos in less than four years, which means one video every two months. We regularly updated you about the development status, with good and even the bad news, but always in an open and honest way.
We spend almost a YEAR by designing, producing and packaging 300 swords, 5.000 art books, 4.500 coins, 2.000 figures and 30.000 dice to gather them in 10.000 packages and send out in a three days delivery window. Imagine two completely full Tesla trucks driving the highway with the boxes!
And we spent six years by developing the game we always wanted to make - thanks to you. We are looking forward to your feedback when the game is released, and we are sorry for the promises we were not able to fulfill, even though we tried hard to do so.
