Just finished putting this build together last night, ended up moving the 4670k build from before to my girls desk. So far it it is running well 4.2hgz at 1.17v which is already better overclocking than the previous 4670k(guessed i lucked out on this 5930k chip I am not using in comparison). Will continue to tweak a bit until I see what it can do, then I will move down to the ram and see how it runs. http://valid.canardpc.com/ghs53z
So after having the 5390k overclocked to 4.2 at 1.17 volts for 24 hours, of making dvds and gaming I decided I would try 4.3 at 1.18v, and so far after playing Elderscrolls online on 2560x1440(ESO is more cpu dependant than a lot of games) I was happy thus far(NOT TO JINX MYSELF)
Okay so I am 4.5 and Will not be going any higher for the sake of that I am content for now. Anyways I did some cpu benchmarking and validated after that, the speed of 4.5ghz and 1.205 volts. http://valid.canardpc.com/6up78q
Thought I share my first attempt Costume built PC, going on 3 years strong (STABLE).
This didn't get my graphics card right due to it being set to default in the application,
it's really 1140/1500 not 1030/1400. Oh well.
Upgraded to the Sapphire R9 290 Vapor-X OC 4GB from the ASUS HD7770-2GD5 Graphics Card.
This is what it looked like before the new gfx card and cable management, a mess.
So I woke up one day and decided to clean it up a bit. http://oi57.tinypic.com/2helzer.jpg
Here's a pic of before I added a Crucial M500 MSATA 480GB to my motherboard (3) years later.
A good friend of mine gave me it for free. http://oi61.tinypic.com/stmt.jpg
