Discussion: Fréquence ram

    Bonjour à tous! Je suis tout nouveau ici, je crois savoir que le site dispose de personnes compétentes pour régler les problèmes d'ordre informatiques. J'ose espérer que vous aurez pris la peine de tout lire avant de vous lancer dans une réponse qui serait suceptible de m'aider, merci de votre attention, le problème est le suivant :

    j'ai 1.5go de ddr pc 3200 donc cadencé à 400mhz, la fréquence réel est donc 200 mhz, seulement je constate qu'avec cpu-z la fréquence réel est 100mhz.

    La mobo dispose de deux slot, j'ai donc essayé une barrete à la fois sur chacun des slot (1go kingston puis 512 elixir) puis les deux en même temps.

    Aucun changements, je suis allé voir dans le bios, au lieu de auto j'ai mis sur DDR400mhz, rien y fait, j'ai pu extraire de cpu-z le document suivant :

    Le ratio est donc mauvais, quand je vais dans le bios j'ai pu constater ça,

    Real CPU FSB : DRAM === 800: 400 les valeurs sont normales, le fsb à 800 (200mhzx4) et la ram à 400 (2x200mhz) mais le ratio de ces valeurs est de 2.1 comme il est indiqué dans cpu-z

    sachant que ces valeurs sont normal mais ne sont pas représentatives du réel ratio 200:200 donc 1.1, cpu-z interprète la valeurs du ratio en prennant celles du bios ou calcule t'il la réel fréquence de la ram au quel cas il faudrait l'o/c un peu pour rétablir al ram à sont niveau initial.

    Ceci étant dis, la mise à jour du bios est impossible (carte non repertoriée sur le site d'asus et sur le site du constructeur) donc je ne peux débloquer les options de configuration de la fréquence de la ram.

    J'aimerai trouver un programme qui puisse, à la façon d'un clockgen, parametrer la fréquence de la ram sous windows sans changer le fsb avec.

    Effectivement, c'est un problème de ratio.
    Soit CPU-Z se trompe, soit c'est ton bios qui ne fait pas ce qu'il t'affiche.
    Tu as essayé avec d'autres softs voir si ils disent la même chose que CPU-Z ?

    Ca fait quoi si tu mets "auto detect DRAM frequency" sur Disabled dans ton bios ?

    Merci de votre attention, c'est sympa

    Pour répondre à Yasko, je n'ai pas essayé avec un autre soft, exepté everest mais je n'ai pas trouvé la fréquence (suis je idiot?).

    Quand je met auto detect DRAM frequency disabled dans le bios, il me propose 2 fréquences selectionnables

    => 333mhz (quand je selectionne celle ci, cpu-z m'affiche 86mhz ou une valeur approchante, je ne me souviens plus)

    et 400mhz (quand celle ci est selectionné, cpu-z indique 100mhz, la meme chose que pour auto detect enable donc)

    Pour répondre à Franck@x86, je ne sais pas comment faire le register dump, je me renseigne sur google et je publi tout ça.

    Je viens de comprendre! Merci pour se fameu logiciel franck, c'est une référence.

    J'aimerai également trouver un bon bench qui m'indique bien quelle type de mémoire j'ai, afin d'être sur que ce ne soit pas la carte mère qui bride la ram au final, en attendant, je cherche et j'attend l'affirmation de franck quand au bug. Merci également à toi Yasko.

    Je ne sais pas réellement où chercher après avoir lancé memtest, le débit de la ram est de 1250mo/s apparement, c'est la seule donnée que j'ai pu relever.

    Pas de panique, ma carte mère n'est pas commercialisée ni repertoriée sur le site d'ASUS. Très peu de personnes ont ce modèle.

    J'arrive ici et je fais le gros chieur avec mes bug qui sortent tout droit de la 4ème dimension, les gens sont obligé de réecrire des lignes de prog à cause de moi

    Bref, j'espère qu'au final la ram est bien cadencé à 200 et qu'elle fonctionne à 200 dans les applications.

    Les tests concernent la lecture et lécriture ne mémoire, voici les résultat, je n'arrive pas réellement à les interpréter, j'aimerai savoir s'ils sont normaux afin de savoir si la ram est complètement exploitée.

    L ennui avec ce type de calcul c est qu il suppose une efficacité de 100% du bus mémoire, ce qui n est pas le cas. De toutes façons ici avec 2700 Mo s on a le débit théorique de la DDR333 voire un peu plus, c est ce qui me fait dire que ça ne peut pas être de la 333. C est donc de la 400 ce qui donne une efficacité de 83% ce qui me semble tout à fait cohérent.

    Les tests étant effectués sous windows ça me semble également cohérent.

    De toute façon j'attend la prochaine version de cpu-z pour absolu confirmation, le bug de compatibilité étant apparement corrigé...

    Le chipset SiS 649 de ta carte mère ne gère que la RAM single channel : même en mettant 2 barrettes, le sous-système mémoire pédalera à 400 MHz, et non à 2X400 MHz dual channel. Comme ton P4 a un bus de 800 MHz (200 MHz QDR), le ratio bus:mémoire est bien de 2:1, et le débit mémoire m'a l'air correct pour de la DDR400 single channel.

    Considère le 100 MHz de la DDR comme étant un bug d'interprétation .
