On November 26, SNK signed an agreement with the Saudi company EGDC, which is solely owned by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to sell 60,657,998 company shares worth over two trillion Korean won ($1.8 billion USD).
Mohammed bin Salman has made previous investments in the gaming industry, such as financing a League of Legends tournament to be held in Saudi Arabia, which was later canceled by Riot Games due to concerns regarding LGBT rights within the country's borders.
In western politics, Mohammed bin Salman is perhaps best known for his alleged involvement in the assassination of Saudi dissident journalist, Jamal Khashoggi.
