First of all there is something odd that grabbed my attention. When I start memtest86+ it shows my processor with 64kB L1-Cache. With memtest86 it shows 128 kB L1-Cache. Isn't that odd?
Now to the real problem. My computer freezes about every 3 hours. I thought that maybe my RAM was defect. So I started memtest86+ with the standard options and it showed no errors. Then I just (out of curiosity) switched the memory sizing from 'BIOS std' to 'BIOS all' and now it showed 13 thousand errors. What does that mean? What is that memory sizing all about? Is my RAM now defect because I had errors with 'BIOS all' for memory sizing? Or is it OK because it passed the test with 'BIOS std' for memory sizing?
