Voir la version complète : MT2.10, P35 & DDR3 reporting bug

I've found two issues with the new V2.10 from V2.01 with my P35 Chipset (GA-P35C-DS3R) and OCZ DDR3 memory.

1) Cas value shown incorrectly & text misaligned.

V2.01
8-8-8-26 which is correct...

V2.10
1- 8-8-26 note the spacing issue with the CAS value and the incorrect value

2) L1 & L2 Cache
Indicated throughput (MB/s) now much less in V2.10 (ie 10-20%)

I checked P35 with DDR2 and P45 with DDR3, but not P35 with DDR3.

BTW, I just looked at the code and something seems strange. Could you post a CPU-Z Dump (last tab) here ? It will help me a lot.

About cache throughput, the calculation is now much more accurate than older version.

I'm having the same problem with 2.10 with a Q9550 E0, MSI X48 Platinum, and OCZ PC12800 DDR3 ram. CAS was reported fine in 2.01.

Please try Memtest86+ v2.11 beta 3

http://www.memtest.org/download/beta/211b3/mt211b3.iso
http://www.memtest.org/download/beta/211b3/mt211b3.exe
http://www.memtest.org/download/beta/211b3/memtest.bin

Please tell me your config (P35 or P45 and DDR2 or DDR3) and if everything is reported correctly. If not, what's reported.

PS : v2.11b3 includes support for Intel Core i5

I can confirm that Memtest 2.11 beta 6 works OK on my GA-P35C-DS3R using 4GB of DDR3 ram and reports the Memory Timings correctly.

Took me awhile to reply, as I had to RMA my RAM. But it works fine with the beta version now in my setup. (Q9550 E0, MSI X48 Platinum, and OCZ PC12800 DDR3 ram)

With memstest 2.11 I still heave a problem that ddr2 memory is seen as ddr3 in a p35 motherboard.
It happens when I have a single stick of memory in slot 3 or 4 (channel 2).

I have tested it with 2 types of memory, 1 GB Crucial ballistx pc2 8500 and 2GB Kingston value ram pc2 5300.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 rev2.0.

This should be fixed in a newer version. I do not remember if I submitted the changes to DocTB, so I will have to check my code to make sure. By the way, DDR3 versus DDR2 was not documented by Intel in the manuals I have seen. The code changes needed are based on experience with this chipset series.
