Loading.... then nothing

I've burned (with verification) a CD off the 2.01 ISO. Booted off it and got Loading... but then nothing happens and the CD drive no longer registers any activity.

I've got a Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L motherboard which might be more recent than the last release, I'm unsure. Could that cause a problem?

make sure you have the latest BIOS, disable all features like SATA, AHCI, RAID, USB legacy support, etc. etc. use an IDE optical drive and try a different brand of CDR.
