I've compiled memtest86+-2.01 on a Debian lenny platform. When I run it on a Tyan motherboard (with an Intel Core2 Duo 64-bit processor), memtest86+ hangs immediately.
But the prebuilt memtest86+ runs OK on this hardware.
Is there something wrong with my build environment ?

A colleague compiled it OK under an i386 build environment (configured under schroot).
Are there compiler flags which would allow memtest to be built on a 64-bit environment, without needing to set up a schroot-ed i386 ?
